Which Markets Are Available?
Websites can be centered around one city or central metropolitan area or they can cover an area comprised of various smaller cities. Most of the time, our markets cover 1 county. Our websites perform best when covering markets with populations ranging between 250,000 and 2,000,000, but it’s possible that smaller markets could be viable as well – as long as there are enough families and enough businesses to ensure the site is profitable.
Note that the size of the market doesn’t necessarily correlate to the potential of the revenue on the site. The market boundaries only define which listings may be added to the directory and calendar. There is no restriction on selling ads; and franchisees may sell ads to businesses located anywhere in the world regardless of their market boundaries.
Franchisees must live in the market where their site is based. To be successful you need to be able to build relationships with local business owners and make connections with local families.
